Prof. Dr. Radovan Starc led a multidisciplinary team examining bioenergy treatment on cultures of aggressive cancer cells — endothelial cells, ovarian carcinoma, melanoma, and colorectal cancer. After 10 minutes of Domančić-method treatment, malignant cell colonies showed approximately 20% reduction in growth. Healthy cells were unaffected. The study established a measurable biological distinction in cellular response.

In 1984, Zdenko Domančić presented his bioenergy method before a group of medical professionals in Zagreb — his first formal exposure to a critical audience of physicians and specialists, with the intention of examining whether the method could withstand professional scrutiny.

A group of patients diagnosed with advanced gangrene was selected. At that time, their prognosis involved either limb amputation or a fatal outcome. Following a series of bioenergy treatments, significant improvements were observed. The patients who had been facing amputation regained mobility, and none required surgical removal of a limb.

The observations later inspired journalist Dražen Jakčin to publish a book in 1986 titled The Healer Domančić: Treatment with Bioenergy – A Report from Scientific Research, documenting the events and testimonies surrounding the case.

Dr. Josip Čiček, an internist who personally followed the outcomes, reflected: "Based on established medical expectations, this individual had only days to live. Yet the patient remained alive and continued to show improvement. Had I not witnessed it myself, I would have struggled to accept it."

The phenomenon of bioenergy and its measurable influence on physical matter has attracted attention beyond the field of complementary medicine. Zdenko Domančić presented his work internationally, including in the United States and at Ben-Gurion University in Israel. His research activities and demonstrations were observed by visitors and academics from institutions such as Stanford University and Columbia University, as well as Israeli scientific circles.

A significant laboratory examination was conducted in 2003 at the Jožef Stefan Institute in Ljubljana. The study focused on the influence of bioenergy on calcium carbonate (calcite) crystals suspended in an aqueous solution contained within a silicon tube. After exposure to bioenergy, the samples were examined using scanning electron microscopy (SEM).

The analysis was performed and documented by Dr. Anton Jeglič, professor at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering at the University of Ljubljana, and Prof. Dr. Spomenka Kobe of the Jožef Stefan Institute. The SEM technology employed provides magnifications up to 100,000 times and detection of structures at the nanometer scale (0.1–0.2 nm).

Structural Changes in Crystal Formation

Following bioenergetic exposure, observable changes in crystal morphology were documented. Instead of maintaining conventional geometric patterns, certain calcite formations developed complex, organic-like structures resembling botanical forms — leaves and floral shapes with detailed surface textures visible at the microscopic level. The average size of the examined crystals was approximately 3 micrometers.

Crystals in their growth phase are highly responsive to environmental influences and informational input — they were selected as the experimental medium precisely because the working hypothesis posited that if bioenergy carries informational properties, such influence might become visible in crystallization processes.

Measured Physical Effects

In addition to morphological observations, researchers reported measurable physical changes. Under bioenergetic influence, the electrical conductivity of calcium carbonate in solution demonstrated a noticeable decrease. Furthermore, structural changes were observed in commercially bottled water, with reported variations of up to 51% in specific measurable properties following exposure.
