Dave Mitrovic is the Founder and Creator of the PhiLuminous Method, an original framework shaped by more than twenty years of interdisciplinary study, professional training, practice, and lived experience.
His work grew from psychological study and a sustained inquiry into the unconscious, human behavior, symbolism, and meaning. Jung’s work became an important bridge toward archetypes, inherited patterns, and symbolic traditions; later systemic training expanded that inquiry into relational and intergenerational dynamics.
The Search
Dave’s work did not begin as a professional ambition. It began as a deeply personal search for healing and understanding. Profound loss and periods of significant inner challenge led him to explore how people recover meaning, rebuild resilience, and find direction when life no longer resembles what it once was. That search became the foundation of his life’s work.
Its roots reached back to childhood. Born into a Vlach family near the Romanian border, Dave grew up close to traditional healing practices, regional folklore, and beliefs carried through generations. Alongside this inherited world, he developed an early fascination with Greek mythology and later with the symbolic traditions of ancient Egypt. At nineteen, he began structured bioenergy training under Ljubiša Stojanović and later continued through the method developed by Slovenian bioenergy pioneer Zdenko Domančić.
From Questioning to Integration
Dave encountered practitioners working with energy psychology and personal-development approaches that expanded his understanding of unconscious patterns, emotional experience, behavior, and the body. The work of Carl Gustav Jung became a decisive bridge. Through Jung’s exploration of the unconscious, archetypes, and symbols, Dave recognized that ancient stories and inherited traditions did not have to be accepted literally in order to carry profound psychological meaning.
This intersection of psychology, symbolism, and meaning led him to complete four years of professional education in astrology at the Johannes Kepler Astrological Institute in Belgrade, qualifying as a Hermetic Astrologer with advanced studies in Astro-Psychology and Astro-Medicine. He later studied Jyotish through the teachings of Pandit Sanjay Rath, bringing Western and Vedic traditions into dialogue as complementary perspectives on consciousness, human development, and life direction.
His professional training continued through certification in Neuro-Linguistic Programming at the Squire Institute under Slavica Squire, together with training in Wellness Coaching, Energy Psychology, P.E.A.T., developed by psychologist Živorad Mihajlović Slavinski, and Systemic and Family Constellations informed by the work of German psychotherapist Bert Hellinger. Today, Systemic and Family Constellations form an active part of his practice, which he facilitates in both individual and group settings.

Moving between professional training and settings where knowledge was transmitted through story, symbol, land, ritual, and direct experience, Dave became increasingly interested in the gaps between specialized disciplines. Modern approaches offered rigor and depth, but were often encountered in separate silos. Traditional systems preserved meaning, ritual, and a relationship to spirit and soul, yet could be difficult to translate responsibly into contemporary life. He began searching for a language that could hold both discernment and depth without collapsing one into the other.
In time, Dave’s path completed a circle. He did not return to the beliefs of his childhood as unquestioned truths. He returned with discernment, experience, and a wider understanding of the human being. What began as an attempt to choose between tradition and reason became a lifelong commitment to conscious integration. It also became a bridge where ancient wisdom could meet contemporary science without either being reduced to the other. That bridge became PhiLuminous™.
The PhiLuminous Method
Over years of interdisciplinary study, training, and work with clients, Dave began recognizing recurring principles beneath disciplines that were usually kept apart. Each revealed a different dimension of human experience, yet no single approach held the entire picture. The PhiLuminous Method emerged from his effort to understand the pattern beneath the problem and the relationship between mind, emotion, body, behavior, inherited experience, energy, and meaning.
At the heart of the Method is the process of decoding: bringing unconscious, emotional, ancestral, energetic, and symbolic patterns into awareness so that they no longer shape life invisibly. This idea also gave rise to the PhiLuminous CODEX™, conceived as an integrative map of the individual rather than another label, diagnosis, or predetermined identity.
At the center of PhiLuminous is φ, the golden ratio: a recurring principle of proportion, growth, and relationship expressed through mathematics, art, and certain patterns in nature. For Dave, φ became a living model of calibration. Transformation begins when the fragmented dimensions of human life are brought back into conscious relationship with the whole. At this generative center, recognition becomes transformation, integration opens into metamorphosis, and human potential begins its conscious ascent.
For Dave, esoteric knowledge was never meant to remain hidden within symbols, temples, or ritual. Its living value appears when insight can be translated into applied personal-development practice, embodied change, contemporary knowledge, and the technologies shaping the future of wellbeing. The Method therefore moves beyond healing alone: from recognition and release, through inner calibration and integration, toward purpose, creation, and conscious ascent. Its guiding vision is Ancient Wisdom Meets Contemporary Science.
A New Chapter in New York
Today, Dave is establishing the next chapter of his work in New York City while continuing to serve clients internationally. He works privately with entrepreneurs, professionals, creatives, and individuals navigating major transitions, emotional challenges, recurring relationship patterns, and questions of identity, purpose, and direction.
Alongside this work, Dave is writing Phi CODEX™, a forthcoming book conceived as an accessible introduction to the PhiLuminous Method. Through it, he aims to bring the Method to a wider audience and reach those ready to decode inherited patterns, restore inner coherence, and approach transformation as a conscious process of calibration, integration, and ascent.
New York is the present base for a broader long-term vision. Dave envisions PhiLuminous growing beyond private work into carefully designed environments where integrative guidance, restorative experience, technology, nature, learning, creativity, and community can coexist without losing clarity of scope. The future concepts of the PhiLuminous Wellness Center, Oasis, and Villages belong to that horizon and are presented as a direction of growth rather than current offerings.
For Dave, this is more than a business and more than a method. It is an invitation into a different relationship with human potential: to decode what has shaped us, release what no longer belongs to us, restore coherence, and rise together toward lives of greater purpose, creativity, connection, and light.
